The children I work with typically squirm and move around during treatments. Once I had my room set up, the kids remained calm and just watched the experience during their session.
We had a partial experience set up in our parents' elder-care facility and everyone was amazed. It brightened up their evening.
Our installations for children in hospitals and for patients moving through cancer treatment have become the most requested work we do. The reason is simple: in clinical settings, the environment is part of the treatment experience. Harsh light keeps the nervous system on alert. Soft motion, warm color, and organic patterns tell the body it's safe. A body that feels safe settles. The environment is a signal
The nervous system constantly scans for cues of safety or stress, and light is one of the strongest cues there is. Research on low-stimulation environments shows that slow movement, soft brightness, and natural color gradients promote calm, while harsh contrast and flicker increase agitation. Applied research on multisensory environments in care settings, studied for decades in dementia care and increasingly in pediatric and behavioral health, consistently reports calmer behavior and reduced distress, with honest caveats about study sizes. We summarize the science and its limits in our research paper, and our facility installations include simple observation protocols so your team can measure impact directly.
Will installation disrupt our operations?
No. Installations are non-destructive, scheduled around your operations including after hours, and calibrated with your staff present. Temporary and mobile programs can be installed and removed the same day.
Can our staff control the environment?
Yes. Every installation ships with simple scene controls tuned with your clinicians, and our process includes hands-on training for long-term installations.
Can we pilot an experience before committing?
Yes. Mobile installations let a ward, family room, or single treatment room run a pilot for a day or a season before any permanent decision.
